This is Collie-Quest!

It is my first ever gamejam and was submitted for Trijam #214. I "completed" it in 3 hours but  it has no menu, no sound, and it kind of is broken... but I'm still really proud.

I will likely do a release of this with a cleaner  build later this week.

Collie-Quest with a little bit of love/polish (2h of extra work located below):

NB: The game is literally broken. The scene reloads with incorrect values upon reload and the wolves break. I learnt so much doing this project though!

W A S D - move

Mouse - Aim

Mouse click - 'Shoot a "Bark"' but do NOT bark at the sheep! That will scare them. You must ONLY bark at the foxes/wolves/thing.

Things I learned

--

Time management;

I do not need half the mechanics I thought I did (I spent 20-60 minutes trying to get a line renderer to work or some fancy sheep-run-away AI that wasn't even necessary. I could have made the game just fine without it and would have had time for menu and sound maybe!)

I learned about Tilemaps and doing 2d Unity (never tried before!)

I did my first proper pixel art (16x16!)

The use of the theme is really cool, I like the sheep movement and I’d love to see post-jam update to see what this could turn in to!

Good job, even if it is a bit broken (impossible to win), I like the concept and I find the sheep ai behaviour very satisfying! It's impressive to see how much you learnt during just three hours as well :)

Thank you! Here's hoping I can do better in the next one!

You need to right click the screen when it loads to get focus, otherwise you'll shoot a bark and brick the game. Sorry! I'll make a clean version of this later in the week.
